Jaycob's obituary

Jaycob Lee Whinery, 26, of Reno, NV died January 16,2021 at his Reno home. Jaycob, whose nickname was “Duck,” was born May 21st, 1994 in Reno, NV to Jason and Sheri Whinery. Jaycob attended Reed High School in Sparks, NV and graduated in 2012. Jaycob favorite hobbies consisted of cars, car audio, fitness and blue cheese. He is survived by his son, Eliaz Keith, his mother Sheri (Davis) and stepfather Patrick Ryder of Reno, NV; father Jason Whinery and stepmother Lisa (Lang) Whinery of Reno, NV. He is also survived by his younger brother Justyn Whinery and step-brothers Derrick and Ethan Lang; maternal grandparents Dwayne and Jo Davis, of Burney, CA; great-grandmother, Janis Stephens of Burney, CA; paternal grandparents Ron and Barbara Rowland, of Arnold, CA; Ken Whinery, of Yuba City, CA. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Nadine (Stephens) Davis and great-grandfather Herold Stephens, Sr. and great grandparents, Jerry and Margo Bagne. Jaycob also had many aunts and uncles, great nephews and nieces and cousins along with many, many friends. He will greatly be missed by all. A memorial car event will be held on Sunday, January 24th at 11am in Sparks, NV.
