Jayaweera's obituary
Jayaweera was born in Magammana Sri Lanka on May 21, 1946. At an early age, he embarked on a career on the seas traveling to China, Greece, the Caribbeans, and North and South America. While in the United States, he enjoyed his time in the states of Maryland, Florida and Louisiana among others. After getting married, he settled in France and dedicated 25 years working at the Saudi Arabian Embassy in Paris. During his last two decades, he spent his time between New Jersey, France and Sri Lanka. An avid reader, he loved current affairs as much as technology and comedies and liked Reggae and Country music. A Jack of All Trades, he enjoyed handy work, landscaping, construction, electronic and mechanic works. He taught his children to drive (though much earlier than the legal age), and spoiled his grandchildren endlessly. His quick wit, generosity and knowing something about everything persisted and brought good laughs and knowledge to all he met. He will be deeply missed.
