Jay was always a calming voice in my life.  He was also so talented musically, in photography, and pretty much anything he tried.   I was always astounded by his genius.   I lost touch with Jay and his family for too many years.  Thank goodness I was able to get together with Jay, Valerie and wonderful Janie one more time before he passed away.  His death was such a shock.  I have such fond memories of Jay and his whole family from the 1970s: Butz, Lorraine, Gene, Gary, Jane and always Jay and Valerie.  Everyone probably knows about his Mom, Lorraine's, fabulous German Sunday dinners.  I used to go with Gene, and visit the entire group.  There were always great stories and lots of laughter on those Sundays.  I miss them a lot.
