Jay's obituary
On behalf of Jay for his son Remi Combs, as a piece of Jay will always be with us in Remi. He was a kind and loving partner to Lulu, as well as an amazing father to their son, Remi, and fur baby Zeus. He was a beloved son and wonderful brother and uncle. Jay had a deep sense of compassion, generosity, and kindness towards others. He had a great ability to make others smile and his sense of humor will be missed. Jay created special moments with each of us where he shared unique wisdom and warmth that showed how big he loved. While Jay left us far too soon, the impact he had on friends and family will be felt forever.
Please support the Combs family in celebrating Jay’s life. A memorial service for Jay will be held at Friends Funeral Home on Saturday, June 24th from 11:00am to 1:00pm followed by a reception. The chapel is located at 2300 N Marengo Ave, Altadena, CA 91001.
Jay will then be transported for a burial service at the Clovis Cemetery in Fresno County CA, on Monday, June 26th to be amongst his spouse, Lulu Miao's multiple generations of passed family members. In older traditional Chinese beliefs, passed down from generation to generation, "though our bodies remain in this life, our souls will move onto the next journey with the significance of always being surrounded by family." Jay will always be protected and loved as he was in this life, and those that have already crossed over, including Lulu's deceased grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, close family friends, and most recently her beloved father who loved Jay as a son of his own. Jay will be buried amongst family to be protected and loved as he crosses over.
For Jays East Coast family and friends, there will be a memorial service in mid July in Ocean City, hosted by Jay's parents and family. More details to come.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation towards the difficult journey that lay ahead for.
Thank you all for your love and support.
