Our dearly beloved, Jawanda Latrice Maree was born on December 28, 1976 to Melba Harris Maree and the late Clifford Maree.

On Friday, November 11, 2022, Jawanda transitioned from this earthly world. She leaves to cherish her beautiful spirit and so many precious memories, her daughter Jamyla Latrice Lawton, her mother Melba Harris Maree, her sister Jasmine Maree, her brother Clifford Maree, her fiance’ Calvin Green, her God-daughters Taryn Hudson and Tiaja Green, her niece Jayla Maree, her nephews London Robbins and Grayson Maree, her lifelong best friend Tamica Collins, her best friend Latasha Green and a host of cousins, extended family and friends.

Jawanda is preceded in death by her father Clifford Maree and her grandparents Johnnie L. and Margaret Harris.

Jawanda was a loving, devoted and caring mother to her beloved Jamyla, she was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, auntie, God-mother and friend. She gave her life to Christ at Springfield Baptist Church in Thomson, Georgia at a young age.  Jawanda attended the public schools of McDuffie County, graduating from Thomson High School class of 1995 with honors. After graduating high school, she went on to further her education at the University of Georgia, graduating in 2000. She went on to have a career in the field of property management.

Jawanda enjoyed the simple and priceless things in life: spending quality time with family and loved ones, music, laughter and just being in the presence of those she loved and those who loved her dearly. Jawanda’s presence, smile, and warmness touched the hearts and brightened the lives of all that knew her. She is deeply and always loved and will be deeply and forever missed.
