Matt's obituary
Died unexpectedly at home May 6,2019.
Matt is survived by his wife Jamie Wojciechowski and their 3 beautiful kids, Aubree, Jason and Aiden, his grandson Carter, parents Marty and Kathy, brothers Corey and Brandon, and his grandma Kay Yow who was extremely special to Matt. Also many uncle and aunts, cousins and friends.
Matt grew up in Kannapolis and China Grove attended school in Rowan County including Corriher Lipe, China Grove Middle and South Rowan High School.
Matt enjoyed baseball, skateboarding and riding his 4 wheeler when he was young. When Matt got older he picked up hunting and immediately fell in love. He killed many deer in the 5 years he hunted and was very proud.
Matt was a pipe fitter for most of his adult life. He was good at his job and enjoyed it very much. He worked for 4 fire sprinkler companies and credited many people for helping him along the way. He looked up to so many men who went before him and he loved his trade.
Matt was an amazing person. He was the hardest working man I have ever known. He didn't know what to do with himself when he had time off so he rarely took any.
He loved tools, from a young age Matt worked and earned money for the things he enjoyed. His love of tools was known to many.
Matt would be the first one to help someone out. Fixing a car to putting in a good word to get someone a job, Matt always saw the good in everyone. He thought everyone had a heart as big as his.
He unconditionally loved his family. Matt proved time and time again that he would do anything and everything for us.
Those who knew him, loved him. He was good to everyone. He didn't judge and he didn't criticize.
May knew struggle and had setbacks. This is one reason he was so well loved and respected. He never thought he was better than anyone.
Matt had the best heart. And to know him was to love him. And knowing him made you pretty lucky.
