On January 30, 2026, Jason passed away at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC, after an extraordinarily courageous and hard-fought battle with cancer. Jason was born on June 26, 1987, in Asheville, NC. He was the second son and youngest child of Richard Ernest Silvers and Myong Kim.

Visitation with family and an optional viewing will be held at 1 p.m. and funeral services for Jason will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 5060 Six Forks Rd, Raleigh, NC 27609. He will be buried in Oakwood Cemetery where his father is also buried.
