Jason's obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father, Jason Short. A man of numerous accomplishments and a beacon of kindness, his absence leaves an irreplaceable void in the hearts of those who cherished him.

Jason is survived by his beloved wife, Celeste Short, and their treasured daughters, Dana and Maya Short. His thoughtful, curious, intelligent, kind, funny, and friendly personality made him the heart of their family. His role as a loving husband and a devoted father were what he held closest to his heart and considered his greatest accomplishments. He will also be deeply missed by his faithful companion, Penny Pickles.

Over his lifetime, Jason wore many hats with grace and dexterity. He served his country as a dedicated Army veteran and later explored the realms of technology as a highly skilled computer programmer. His thirst for knowledge was insatiable and served as an inspiration to many. His mantra, “Never stop learning,” is one of the many life lessons he shared with those around him.

Apart from his professional accomplishments, Jason was an author, bringing forth his creativity and passion for reading. He will be remembered for his love of science fiction stories, both in reading and writing.

Jason’s life was tragically cut short while participating in a charity motorcycle ride for pediatric brain tumors—an example of his generosity and commitment to helping others.

We find some solace in knowing that he lived a full, rich life, touching many hearts along the way with his humor and friendly disposition. His passing leaves a void that can’t be filled, but we are comforted by the memory of his infectious laugh, his warm hugs, and his unyielding optimism.

Jason will forever be missed by his girls and all who were fortunate enough to know him. As we navigate through this period of grief, we find strength in the lessons he taught us, the love he shared with us, and the beautiful memories he left behind.
