Jason was fulfilled with giving back to the commuity. He felt a purpose to keep all safe on the beach and the waters of Hawaii. As a recipient in 2015, Jason was proud and has a relentless focus on creating knowledge and respect of the the ocean. Jason saved many people in the oceans of Hawaii.

The Daniel R. Sayre Memorial Foundation is a volunteer-run, non-profit organization dedicated to providing essential equipment and training to the Hawaii Island Fire Department who serves the Hawaii community, and more than 1.5 million visitors per year from around the world.
