Jason's obituary
Jason Allen Neal, a resident of Brookline, MA, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 22, 2021, at the age of 47. He is survived by his wife Alison (Brandeis); his children Amelia, Colin, and Abigail; his parents, Cyril and Linda Neal; his brothers Keith and Ryan; and his grandmother, Jessie Neal (who passed away on Dec. 4, 2021). He is predeceased by his grandparents Rose and Boleslof; and his grandfather Newman Neal.
Jason was born in 1974 and grew up in Dudley, MA. For the past 25 years, he lived in Brookline, MA. He attended St. Joseph’s School, Marianapolis Preparatory School, and Wheaton College in Norton, MA, where he majored in history. He also did graduate-level work in finance, accounting, and economics at Boston University. Growing up, Jason played hockey, and ran both track and field and cross country. His love of hockey lead him to become an avid Montreal Canadians fan. Jason was an Eagle Scout, earning several Palm awards. Jason enjoyed spending summers with his family on the Cape and was a member of the Hyannis Yacht Club. Jason recently discovered a passion for sailing and spent last summer taking lessons. Jason loved his children and spent much of his free time with them, sailing with Colin and playing dolls with Abigail. He was proud that his oldest child, Amelia, had started college at Sacred Heart University.
In February, Jason rejoined Landmark Partners as a Principal in their investor relations and business development group. Earlier in his career he had spent nearly seven years at Landmark Partners. Jason spent much of his career in investor relations, marketing, and fundraising for private equity and secondary funds. He held Series 63 and Series 7 licenses.
Jason frequently traveled for work. He loved taking the Acela train from Boston to New York and enjoyed finding restaurants across the country that served oysters, one of his favorite foods. Jason often sent pictures of oysters to his family and friends.
