Jason passed away in his home in Dale, TX on July 17, 2018. He was born in Goldsboro, North Carolina on September 18, 1964 to Andrea and Paul Martin. He was pre-deceased by his father Paul. Jason is survived by his mother Andrea, daughter Cydney, brother Matthew and sister Amber. Jason was a caring person and loved by many. He lived a life of service, most recently starting a non profit to help local dogs receive veterinary care. Previously, he worked for many years as a paramedic for Travis County EMS in Austin before starting his dream job at BookPeople. Jason was very passionate about reading, and loved to gift books to loved ones and anyone else who liked to read.

Jason's memorial will be held on Sunday, July 29, 2018 at 5pm at Tiny T Ranch in Garfield, TX. Friends are invited to come celebrate his life, look at pictures and artwork, and share memories with one another. In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to donate instead to Austin Pets Alive or any local animal shelter in his name.
