Jay's obituary
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Jason "Jay" Cole, a man known for his wit, charm, funny nature, and intelligence. Jay was born on February 18, 1965, and lived a vigorous and inspiring life until his death on May 2, 2025.
Known for his talent in automotive body and paint work, Jay was an avid lover of the outdoors. His love for fishing, hunting, camping, and the beauty of nature was unquantifiable. His life was a testament to his belief in doing the right thing, even when no one was looking, a lesson he passed onto his children and grandchildren.
His love for music was evident in his favorite song, "Stairway to Heaven," and he was a fervent supporter of the New York Jets. Jay loved to frequent local establishments, with Angie's being one of his favorites. Notably, he was committed to doing his part for the community and was deeply concerned about the well-being of animals, frequently advocating for the Humane Society.
Jay sought joy in the simple things of life, finding deep satisfaction in family vacations at the Outer Banks. However, his greatest joy was spending quality time with his family. He leaves behind his loving wife, Connie Cole, his sons Nicholas Brubaker and Nathan Cole, his daughter Natalie Cole, and his daughter-in-law Heather Brubaker.
His legacy will continue to live on in his grandson Valiant Brubaker, his grandson Jeremiah Cole, and his granddaughter Abagail Stevens. They will remember him for his lasting lessons and the love he showed them.
Jay's passing has left a void in the hearts of his family and friends; he will be deeply missed. His life is remembered not merely for the duration but for its quality and the indelible impressions he left on those who had the privilege of knowing him.
