Jason's obituary

Jason Ayres Kiehl, age 53, of Celina, Texas, passed away unexpectedly from a heart attack on Friday, February 17, 2023, in Colorado. He was born in Weatherford, Oklahoma, on June 7, 1969, to Holley (Rees) and Vernon Frederick Kiehl. Jason graduated from Richardson Berkner High School in 1987. He earned his bachelor's degree from Texas State University and was a member of the KA fraternity. Jason had a successful career with Fidelity as Vice President of Wealth Management.

Jason married the love of his life, Laurel Ann Stusek, in Dallas in 2011. He enjoyed the beach, the mountains, and hanging out with friends and family. He was also a die-hard Dallas sports fan. Jason’s smile brightened up every room and he never met a stranger. He had a way of making everyone feel like they were his favorite person. Jason was dearly loved and will be missed by all those who knew him.

Jason is survived by his beloved wife, Laurel Kiehl; his precious son, Jackson Kiehl; his mother, Holley Kiehl; his sisters, Jan Kiehl and her husband, Charlie Parker, and Sue Hoffman and her husband, Richard; his brother, Brad Kiehl; his sister-in-law, Susan Kiehl; at least a dozen dear friends whom he considered brothers; as well as many loving cousins, nephews, and nieces.

He is preceded in death by his father, Fred Kiehl.

The family invites you to a Visitation at Berkshire Chapel, 9073 Berkshire Drive, Frisco, Texas, on Sunday, February 26, 2023, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Funeral Service is Monday, February 27, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at Hope Fellowship - East, 9950 Rolater Road, Frisco, Texas. Interment follows at Ridgeview West Memorial Park, 7800 Sanctuary Drive, Frisco, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider contacting them to contribute to a college fund for their son, Jackson.
