It’s rare to meet someone who will give you a few minutes of advice that will benefit your career for a life time. Jason is one of those voices that helps me and continues to live on in my day-to-day work.

Jason helped me develop good relationships in the workplace and overcome challenges that required strategic discussions with colleagues. With his intelligent advice and coaching, I was able to cultivate productive connections with colleagues that continuously add enrichment to my career. Thank you, Jason, for having those private, generous, discussions with me and for sharing your wisdom!

From meeting at Los Cerros, crying when I couldn't be on his team during lunchtime basketball, teaching me how to drive stick (begrudgingly),  frequent trips to Market St. to buy streetwear, up all night phone chats, working at the Alameda county fair, delivering phone books (one day in Livermore and never getting paid), college roommates for a year, different fallouts LOL...glad we got to sprint the football field in July and have one last walk late night... Dear Uncle Rocky, Auntie Anna and Michelle, I was really saddened to hear of Jason’s passing. My deepest condolences. Although I have not seen Jason for many years, he was always my “cool” older cousin in the US. I vividly remember when our family visited yours in the mid 90s, and Jason took me to watch a James Bond movie - we sat at the very front row!

One of the first memories I have of Jason is when I got mad at him after he criticized my furniture arrangement at my room in the Hastings Tower. Little did I know then that he'd become a trusted confidant, birthday buddy and an overall amazing friend. And somewhere in the midst of going through law school, various jobs and other life events, Jason became the greatest buddy to our dearly departed maltipoo, Brooose. Jason was the best Brooose-sitter we ever had and it was evident in the way Brooose gazed at Jason that he adored him. I think Brooose secretly wished David and I will travel more so he can spend more time hanging with Jason. Thanks for all the late night talks, hosting numerous trivia sessions and being there for me during my darkest times. I will always miss you, my birthday buddy.
