2010, Palm Springs, CA, USA
For his 30th birthday, a group of Jason's friends rented a van and stayed in Palm Springs for a weekend getaway. Traffic was especially heavy and the drive took much longer than anticipated but we had a great time anyway. I will always remember his warmth, smile and laughter.

The first time I hung out with Jason we stayed up all night talking in Ana and Helen’s DTLA living room. It was the beginning of a friendship I hold very dear. Jason is interesting, insightful, thoughtful, sincere, smart, and kind. We could talk about anything or nothing and it was enjoyable and easy. We once talked at length about how Pink is underrated, and since then I always think of him when I hear her songs. He is the absolute best at reading trivia questions and giving advice about March Madness. Jason, Elaine, and I tried our first McRibs together. And who can forget their first McRib? Our lives went in different directions, but he always carried a special place in my heart. In May he said we should have a trivia night, which made me so happy because it had been so long. I am heartbroken that we won't have that chance. I will cherish my memories of him and will always hold him in the highest esteem. May Jason rest in peace.
