Jason's obituary

In Loving Memory of Jason Anthony Bowman

December 9, 1973 - January 3, 2024

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jason Anthony Bowman on January 3rd, 2024 following a 2.5 year battle with prostate cancer. Born on December 9, 1973, Jason leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and unwavering commitment to his family and community. Jason was a graduate of Pulaski County High School (class of '91) and a proud US Marine Corps veteran (1992 - 1996). After completing his military service, Jason went on to become a successful business owner, starting his first automotive shop at the age of 28 years old in 2002. He was the proud owner of Sage Automotive and OGRE Outdoors, establishments that mirrored his passion for excellence and hard work. Jason started OGRE Outdoors in 2014, allowing him to blend his passion and interests into his work. He began by welding bumpers and bike racks for vehicles and went on to build custom off-road vehicles and outdoor gear.

Jason Anthony Bowman is preceded in death by his grandfather Rush Woodrow Bowman and grandmother Dawn (Vaughn) Bowman. Together, they await him in eternal peace.

Jason is survived by and will be forever cherished by his beloved wife, Julie Ann Bowman, and their three children: Jason Matthew Bowman, Lauren Bowman Clontz (husband Matt Clontz), and Tayler Bowman (fiance Mohammad Salah). He also leaves behind his grandson, Aidan Bowman, who brought immense joy and laughter to Jason's life. Jason is also survived by his mother Theresa Bowman and father Mark Bowman, as well as sisters Melissa (Bowman) Motter and Misty Bowman.

While we mourn the loss of Jason, we also celebrate the memories of a life well-lived. Jason's journey touched the hearts of many, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be remembered for his resilience, sense of humor, and the love he showered upon his family and friends.

A Celebration of Life for Jason will be held on January 21st, 2024. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Warrior Surf Foundation in Jason's memory. May Jason rest in peace, and may his memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to those who mourn his passing.
