Jason Steele (Bieker) Lauer, 51, of Gladstone, Oregon, peacefully passed away in his home on July 27, 2023 after being diagnosed with cancer in January 2023. Jason was born on August 3, 1971 in Portland, Oregon. He grew up in the Oak Grove area and graduated from Rex Putnam High School in 1989. He was a gifted saxophone player in the high school Band and had the honor of leading the band in playing “Louie Louie” during assemblies and sporting events. Following graduation he started his first full time job at the Elks Lodge doing maintenance, kickstarting a legacy of being able to fix and rebuild almost anything! Jason spent his time tinkering with everything that had the potential to be restored. He was also a mentor to anyone that needed guidance on any type of project, he was a true “handyman”. Jason enjoyed sitting by the river on his favorite rock in Milwaukie, it was a place that allowed him to reflect in solitude. He was a Christian man with a kind and loyal heart that truly loved those close to him. He is survived by his Mom, four siblings, four Sons, five grandchildren, and a host of Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, Nephews and one Niece.

Gone, but never, ever forgotten. A Celebration of life (“sunset remembrance”) will be held in Milwaukie, Oregon. Details will be personally provided.
