It is with profound sorrow that we share the untimely passing of Jarvis "JJ" Clemmons Jr., lovingly known as Jarvis, on the 24th of September, 2024. Born on the 24th of October, 1995, his light was extinguished much too soon but his spirit continues to shine brightly in the hearts of those who loved him.
Jarvis was the cherished son of . He was predeceased by his mother, Christyl Presberry, whose love guided him throughout his life. He was a beloved brother who leaves behind his sisters Keona Freeman, Shanae Travis, and Jamiah Mitchell Tysonia Whitfield. Their bond of love remains unbroken, transcending the boundaries of time and space.
Jarvis was a proud alumnus of St. Louis Community College - Forest Park, where he graduated in 2023 with a major in Business. His intellectual curiosity and love for learning were testament to his passion for self-improvement and growth.
His faith was an integral part of his life journey. He was a dedicated attendee of the First Baptist Church of St. Louis and was involved with the Herbert Hoover Boys and Girls Club of St. Louis, strengthening his community with his kindness and generosity.
Jarvis was a man of simple pleasures. A lover of literature and poetry, he found solace and inspiration in the written word. He was a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and enjoyed playing chess and checkers. Long distance cycling served as his favorite way to keep fit, and Memphis, TN stood as his favored vacation spot. A man of few words and great deeds, Jarvis was known for his warm, bubbly, and outgoing personality, even as he held onto his shy and relentless nature.
His favorite mantra, "Do unto others as you would want them to do you," encapsulates the legacy of kindness and generosity he leaves behind. Among his greatest accomplishments was graduating from St. Louis Community College, a testament to his tenacity and commitment to personal development.
Jarvis's favorite color, blue, was a reflection of his calm and soothing nature. He was a family man at his core, his favorite activities being with those he enjoyed ,his family. Whether playing a game of chess or spending a quiet evening at home, his love for his family was always evident.
