I met Jared at Open Young Adults Group at Calvary Chapel. I had the pleasure of being his friend for about a year, and in that one year of friendship Jared’s consistent kindness, defined goodness towards others, generosity, and adventuresome spirit made an impact greater on my life than 10 people could do!! Jared always asked me how I was doing and showed genuine concern and interest towards what I had to say, and looking back, this is the way he treated everyone. He treated everyone with value, and he generously gave of himself to each of us. His life is a testimony of a man who truly loves people with a Christlike intention and care, and he inspires me to be more giving of myself and to hike, surf, swim, sing, dance, run, work, strive, persevere—to love the Lord wholeheartedly in every moment, and with every aspect of my life, this is what Jared models to me!! I can’t wait to see Jared again in Heaven; I know Jesus is so proud of who he is like we are!

Jared was a skilled mediator. I was glad he participated in my professional development group (PDG). He contributed much knowledge to my workshop. He will be greatly missed by our team at the Southern California Mediation Association.

Jared was a shining light who joined The Mediation Center of the Pacific in 2021 to learn, share his knowledge of conflict resolution and mediation, and help people in Hawaii resolve their conflicts through mediation. He did all of this and more. He was wise beyond his years and eager to help in any way. From conducting workshops to serving as a volunteer mediator, Jared was tireless in his passion to help people and strengthen his ability as a mediator. Even after he accepted a full-time position in the dispute resolution field, he continued to serve as a volunteer mediator remotely. While he will be deeply missed by everyone at The Mediation Center of the Pacific, we are so grateful to have had the opportunity to know and work with him.

Hike! We are fortunate to work just across the street from the UCI Ecological Preserve. Jared and I hiked through there on our lunch hour. He made sure that I didn't stomp on any sleeping rattlesnakes while I obliviously enjoyed the all of the different cacti, birds & wildflowers.
In response to "What did Jared love to do?"

It's taken me a few days to process the fact that Jared passed away, and how could I express how grateful and inspired I am about Jared's life and his legacy. I met Jared when we were in the Movers and Shakas cohort last year in Hawaii, and from the first few times I talked to him I could tell this was someone who had strength of character and who was mature beyond his years. There were moments of tension during our cohort and Jared, in his ombudsman-like way, was trying to create peace, truly a mediator and peacemaker that I've met. And several times we hung out climbing at HiClimb and surfing on South Shore, and the last time I saw him meeting up at In-N-Out in Irvine after he moved down to SoCal. Too soon, and I will miss you Jared, I trust though that you are now with our heavenly Father and your legacy continues on in our hearts. I will continue to look towards your life and try to be more like you, even though you were so much younger than me. Thank you so much for all that you did to teach me how to be by your example and in the warm relationships you had with everyone I've talked to.
To the family of Jared, thank you for raising such a wonderful person and friend and know that we are here for you.
