Janis's obituary
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Janis Edin, a beloved woman who was taken from this world too soon on September 24, 2025. Born on March 14, 1957, Janis lived a life filled with joy, kindness, and generosity, touching the lives of many with her caring spirit.
Janis became a mother in 1979 and again in 1982, cherishing the opportunity to nurture and guide her children. She impressed upon them her love for the simple pleasures of life, such as savoring sweet treats and relishing a warm cup of Earl Grey tea. Janis had a radiant smile that would particularly light up whenever The Beatles played, their melodic tunes perfectly capturing her vibrant spirit.
In her leisure time, Janis enjoyed activities that stimulated both her mind and body. Often, she could be found engrossed in a good book or enjoying her favorite television shows. Janis held an exceptional fondness for the game of chess, which showcased her strategic thinking and eagerness to challenge herself. Janis also loved horseback riding, finding joy and tranquility in the outdoors and the fluid connection between rider and steed.
Janis had a deep appreciation for the color orange, often stating its resemblance with vibrant sunsets and warmth. Her personality was as vibrant as the color she loved, embracing a kind, generous, and caring nature that shaped her interactions with all she met.
Among the valuable life lessons Janis shared with us, the one that stays vivid is, 'Live life the way you please.' This teaching encapsulates her approach to life, one guided by personal satisfaction, enjoyment, and the belief in making the most of every moment.
The void created by Janis's absence is significant, particularly to those she held close to her heart. However, her memory lives on in the lessons she taught, the love she gave, and in the countless lives she enriched with her kindness and generosity.
