It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jannie Rufus, who left this world on September 3, 2024. Jannie was a beacon of kindness, compassion, and love, born on March 7, 1934. Her warm-hearted nature and undying spirit will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Jannie's passion and zest for life were contagious, inspiring all who came into her path. The world was truly a better place with her in it, and though her earthly journey has ended, her luminous spirit remains with us.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Jannie's exceptional life will be held on September 13, 2024, from 2:00-6:00 PM at Wynona Lipman Gardens Community Building 200 Cathedral Ct, Newark, NJ 07104 off of 7th Ave. This service will offer us an opportunity to come together, share memories and pay tribute to Jannie's remarkable life, as we say our final goodbyes.
