Janice loved to read her Bible and have a quiet time. She enjoyed studying prophecy and the end times. Second favorite thing was probably riding her Harley :-) and she was a great and careful rider. I know because I rode 7500 miles with her on one trip!!!

I'm an old neighbor/friend/biker buddy of Dick & Jan's from our cul-de-sac in Old Farm neighborhood. I had lost touch with them and just learned of Jan's home-going today. My heart is heavy for all of you, especially her loving Dick and Daina. They were the best neighbors my son Wes, daughter Niki, and I ever had! We had some memorable fun times together riding our motorcycles and family visits over Jan's yummy homemade veggie pizza at their house. My prayers are lifted for all who loved her.  Please give Dick and Daina hugs from me and mine....Anita Shane, now Carlisle.

I remember Jan, my sister, for so many things.  I remember her riding her own Harley Davidson with Dick, Carol & Tom thousands of miles across the country.  I remember her creative, delicious cooking sometimes venturing into Vegetarian or Indian cuisine.  I remember Jan was a consistent walker/hiker including in the Rocky Mountains.   She had a very strong faith, read her Bible faithfully and loved God with her whole heart. She volunteered consistent with her values, helping women with a crises pregnancy. My favorite memories were the “sister vacations” we took - Caribbean cruises, a Mexican Riviera cruise, Las Vegas, a bus tour down the entire coast of California, a big city adventure in downtown Chicago, a Lake Erie island vacation on Put in Bay, and vacations that included husbands in Estes Park and Crested Butte.  Always a little shy, but strong in spirit, loving, kind and always ready for an adventure! I love and miss you, Jan!
I was three years old and spending Easter with my grandma because my mom was in the hospital delivering my little sister. When she brought Jan home on that Easter, I thought it was the best present I could ever get. Little did I know overtime that she would always be one of the best presents I ever got!
