Janice "Jan" Marie Woodworth, 85, of St. Clair Shores, Michigan, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, January 19, 2025. Jan was born January 19, 1940 in Buffalo, New York, to John Henry Hess and Loretta Mary Kruse as the first of seven children. She married Lorne F. Woodworth in Springville, New York, on July 19, 1958. Jan worked many years as both librarian and office secretary at Masonic Heights Elementary School located in St. Clair Shores, Michigan, where she touched the lives of many. She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years Lorne, daughter June (Mark), son Brian (Debi), grandchildren Michael, Breanna (Gavin), Benjamin (Mariana), great grandchildren (Olivia, Ozzy, Conrad) and siblings Robert, Kathleen, Lawrence (Peggy), Ronald (Linda), Gerald (Denise) and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother James. Jan loved to travel, read, spend time with her family and make special items knitting and crocheting.
