We mournfully announce the passing of Janice "Jan" Sanders, 65, of Pilot Point, TX. Janice passed away peacefully on June 28, 2025 after a long fight against her health. 

Janice, born to Freddy Joe Sanders Sr. and Doris Faye Jones, took her first breath on December 27, 1959 . Janice was a force to be reckoned with from the get go, deciding to quit traditional schooling, get her GED and promptly joined the army where she could serve her country faithfully. 

While Janice never married, she lived a full and vibrant life with more friends than you could count. Her nephews and nieces meant more to her than words can describe. 

Janice was proceeded in death by her grandparents McClinton Sanders, Lottie "Madea" Henderson, Charlie Jones, and Berniece Sirls; Parents, Freddy Joe Sanders Sr. and Doris Faye Jones; and her brother Michael Roy Sanders. Janice is survived by her brothers Freddy Joe Sanders Jr. and Anthony Wayne Sanders, as well as her nieces and nephews Daryus Sanders (Alexandra), and their son Franko, Mylo Sanders Day (Brandon), Akia Sanders, Victoria Sanders, and Michael "M.I.C.- M.I.C" Roy Sanders Jr., and his son D'Vari. We will miss her dearly. 

 Services will be held at Friendship Baptist Church on August 9th, 2025 at 1:00pm.
