Born on October 20, 1954, Jan filled her 70 years with generosity, laughter, and strength that touched the lives of all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Anna Marcero, and her son, Robert ("Robbie"/"Bubba") Potter, whose memory she carried with her every day.
On her journey through life, Jan found her companion in Keith Rubin. The two shared a life together that spanned an incredible 48 years. Together, they built a family and created countless memories.
Jan's legacy lives on through her two daughters, Ashlee (Tim) Samp and Theresa (Dennis) Segebart. She was a proud gramma to Arianna and Sienna Samp, and Jaimee and Nicholas Segebart, each of whom brought joy and pride into her life. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she shared her love and wisdom with them as often as she could.
In addition to her family, Jan had a close friendship of many years with Karen Beach, living next door to each other, sharing movie nights, life's ups and downs and many adventures. Jan also found companionship in Walter, her loyal dog and best buddy, who brought her comfort and joy.
Jan spent many years working at Damick Enterprises, where she was known for her dedication. Her colleagues admired her for her ability to handle anything that came her way.
A lover of reading, Jan often found solace in the pages of her favorite books, escaping to various worlds and stories. She cherished the times spent with her family, whether it be baking, putting together puzzles, reading or just talking about life. These moments were the threads that wove together the fabric of her life, creating memories that her family will have forever.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor and remember Jan for the incredible person she was—a supportive wife, a loving mother, a doting gramma, and a loyal friend.
