It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Janice Lumpp, a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother on October 27, 2025. Born on February 10, 1935, Janice etched a life filled with love, dedication, and remarkable resilience. Her admirable journey came to a peaceful end, leaving an irreplaceable void in our lives.
Janice is pre deceased in death by her husband of 33 years, Robert W Lumpp. He was the love of her life. Janice never remarried.
Janice leaves behind her sons Lloyd Lumpp, Walter Lumpp and Choyer Lumpp. Her daughters-in-law Tara Lumpp and Vicky Lumpp and son-in-law James Willard. Her granddaughters Taylor Schweitzer and Giselle Tabor. And grandsons Declan Lumpp, Shane Lumpp, Chauncey Lumpp, Gabe Lumpp and Creed Lumpp. She will forever stay in the hearts of her family whose lives she enriched with her unwavering love and affection.
Janice was a woman of faith, loyalty, strength, and commitment. She was hardworking and always taught her children the importance of these traits. She graduated with a B.A. in Education from Radford College in 1958. Her belief in the power of education was evident in her career, where she spent a decade inspiring young minds as a teacher.
Beyond her education commitments, Janice was a successful businesswoman who ran a business with her husband for 20 years. Her ability to balance personal and professional lives was testament to her incredible strength and multitasking abilities. It was a testament to her belief in being a strong woman while maintaining the elegance of a lady, a lesson she passed on to all who knew her.
Among her greatest accomplishments, Janice was proud of raising her three sons into strong, compassionate men. Her legacy will forever be etched in the Christian faith and a spirit of perseverance she instilled in her family and all those she touched.
Janice's absence will be deeply felt, but her indomitable spirit, loyalty, and strong Christian faith will continue to guide and inspire us. She lives in our hearts and her teachings continue to resonate, making the world a better, kinder place.
