I learned how good it feels to help someone, even if it was just to hold her hand for a moment to help her cross the street. We are all children in need of God's love, and the fact that we are able to share it with one another is a real blessing. It is a privilege to be a caregiver (I am that to my son with CP) and it is one I will never take lightly. Nan and others, in requiring help, help others to occupy that role and to learn from it. I am grateful for the lives that she touched and the gift that her life was.
