It is with a deep sense of sorrow that the family of Janet Zwicker nee Quillan - Boutilier announces her peaceful passing on December 18, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on February 24, 1943, Janet lived a life filled with love, compassion, and adventure.
Janet was a woman of admirable character who exemplified virtue in everything she did. Her kind spirit and generous heart were evident in everything she did - from every charitable act of generosity she performed to every smile she wore. Her vivacity and zest for life were infectious, inspiring everyone who was fortunate enough to know her.
Janet was instrumental in helping to change the Boys Club of Canada, to the Girls and Boys Club of Canada, along with her lifelong friend Rosemary Munro.
Among her numerous accomplishments, one of the most cherished was the time she spent exploring the world with her son Rick and her daughter Jackie. These shared experiences created bonds that were strengthened by love and spiced with the thrill of discovering new territories and cultures.
She is survived by her devoted daughter, Jackie Whittington (Brad), Son Richard Boutilier (Russel Villamor). Grandson Morgan Walls (Elena), Great Grandson Agustus Walls. Grandaughter Taylor Boutilier and Grandson Cole Boutilier. Step Daughters Lisa Zwicker and Jodie Zwicker. The bond between mother and child was strong, characterized by mutual respect, unconditional love, and a shared sense of humor. Janet's love and dedication to her family and friends formed an integral part of her life and will be the aspect of her legacy that will be remembered and celebrated most.
She is survived by her sisters, Bet MacDonald, Marge Nelson and Claire Harbury , as well as her brother Doug Quillan, many nieces, nephews and friends.
Predeceased by parents, Hazel and Lloyd Quillan. Husband Gordon Boutilier. Daughter Margie Boutilier (Annette), son Earl Gordon Boutilier. Sisters Agnes Caulier, Eileen Quillan and brother Gary Quillan.
Janet had a knack for expressing profound wisdom in simple terms. Her favourite saying, "Get 'Er Done," perfectly embodied her approach to life - a blend of determination, resilience, and a never-give-up attitude.
As we mourn Janet's transition from this life, we celebrate the joy, love, and fulfillment she brought into ours. Her enduring spirit will forever live in our hearts. May she rest in peace.
