Janet's obituary

In loving remembrance, we announce the passing of Janet Stanislawski, born on May 31, 1950, who left us on February 4, 2024. Janet was well-loved for her life filled with unwavering devotion to her family, an infectious sense of humor, and an enduring spirit of generosity.

Janet's memory will be carried forward by her daughters Ruth Donner, Rose Stanislawski, Claire Stanislawski, her son John Stanislawski, her daughter-in-law Nancy Stanislawski, and her son-in-law Mark Doray. Her precious grandchildren Kayla, Zachary, Anna, Alexander, Akeelah, Elizabeth, Vincent, and Charlotte will remember their loving grandmother fondly. Her sisters Julie Nettleton, Joyce Kinman, Nancy Brunneman, Sally Knasel, and her brother Jon Diebold, will continue to hold her memory in their hearts.

In her lifetime, Janet was a beacon of strength, humor, and love. A Registered Nurse and a High School Math Teacher, Janet had a passion for helping others, a trait she carried all through her life. She was an active part of the LIFE Group at Queen of Apostles Community and found immense joy in volunteering and raising funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society through Team in Training, with which she participated in 17 half and full marathons. Nonetheless, Janet’s proudest accomplishment was nurturing her four children and spoiling her eight grandchildren.

Janet loved spending quality time with her grandchildren, reading, baking, and crafting. Her loving spirit, her compassionate nature, her intelligent wit, and her remarkable resilience are some of the attributes that people loved about her.

Janet will be greatly missed by her family and friends, leaving an immeasurable void in their lives.

In lieu of flowers, a fund has been set up for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society at https://everloved.com/life-of…. Janet's commitment towards this cause was unrelenting, and your contributions will honor her memory while making a lasting impact.
