Janet Louise Roetman went to be with the Lord on December 24th, 2024. She passed at home surrounded by family after a short battle with Cancer.

Janet (Brown) Roetman was born in Worthington Minnesota February 25, 1935 to Vincent & Lillian Brown. Janet graduated from Worthington High School in 1954. She attended Worthington Junior College and finished her schooling at Abbot Hospital School of Nursing (Minneapolis). Janet went on to practice nursing at St. Lukes Presbyterian Hospital in Chicago IL.

Janet was married to Rayburn Roetman June 8, 1958 in Worthington. Jan & Ray then moved to Redwood City California where Jan continued her nursing career at an ENT office in San Francisco.

In 1960 Jan & Ray moved to Owatonna MN to raise their family. Janet worked with Ray for several years as he began his Podiatry practice. Janet’s focus then became her family which continued until her death. Janet loved the Lord and was involved in the church for many years. Jan enjoyed decorating her house for each holiday season, trying new as well as old favorite recipes, and always loved her flower gardens.

Janet is survived by her husband Rayburn Roetman of Owatonna MN, son Randall (Nancy) Roetman of Bloomington MN, daughter Beth (Jim) Griffith of Naperville IL., daughter Joy (Jason) Holmgren of Medford MN. Her grandchildren whom she adored Ryan, Sarah, David, Aden, John, MacKenzie, Lily, Heather and Malachi. Great grandchildren Nikolai, Sonny, Emberlyn, Vincent, and Ivan.

Janet was preceded in death by parents Vincent & Lillian Brown as well as her sister Marilyn Wiese.

Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday February 1, 2025 at Bethel Church 1611 Hemlock Ave. NE. Owatonna MN 55060.

Visitation February 1 from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm at Bethel Church

Celebration of Life Service 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm

Fellowship with coffee and Jan’s favorite desserts to follow the service.

There will be a private grave side burial at Worthington MN at a later date where her ashes will be placed.
