Janet's obituary
It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Janet Nay, loving mother, compassionate friend, and inspiring woman. Janet was born on December 9, 1950, and left this world on June 25, 2025, filling the years in between with joy, laughter, and kindness.
Janet's vibrant personality was marked by her sense of humor and genuine compassion. Always quick with a smile or an awesome one liner to cheer up those around her, Janet was a beacon of love to all who knew her.
Among Janet's notable accomplishments was her marriage to Larry of 54 years and raising 2 wonderful kids! She absolutely adored her 5 grandchildren; they lit her up like nothing else. She also made the decision to return to school later in life to become a phlebotomist. This move, reflective of her brave spirit and lifelong commitment to personal growth, was a source of immense pride for her and her family.
Janet's legacy is one of generosity and humor. Her ability to bring lightness to any situation, coupled with her desire to help others, will forever mark the memory of her. She will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
A funeral service to celebrate Janet's life and mourn her passing will be held on July 1, 2025, at 2:00 PM at St. Peter and St. Paul Episcopal Church in Marietta, Georgia. The family invites everyone who knew Janet to join them in farewelling and celebrating this exceptional woman.
