Jan Marie Madonich Passed away unexpectedly in her sleep on January 4th 2021 in San Luis Obispo, CA. She was 67 years old. She was a Daughter, Sister, Mother, Grandmother, Cousin, Aunt, Former wife and Friend. She is survived by her sons Jason and Shawn Goins, tons of grandchilderen, four brothers John, Mike and Matthew Madonich, two nieces Michelle and Megan Madonich, a nephew Justin Madonich, tons of cousins, aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her Father Phil Madonich Sr. and Mother Miliana Shaponja-Madonich of San Francisco CA and her brother Phil Madonich Jr. Her family also included the Shaponas', Passaros', Babics', Amerines', Heseman', Halvarsons', Burruss', and Sturdavents', etc. She was baptized in the Serbian Orthodox Church as a child. She retired from Safeway after 21 years of service. One of her passions she greatly enjoyed was shopping at second hand stores... She will be greatly missed by all that knew her and her wit about life! Anyone who knew Jan, knew that she always had something to say about life. She was strong minded and street smart especially growing up with four boys! Her family and friends will miss her more than words can say.
There will be a service held at a later date in 2021 at a Church or park in San Luis Obispo, CA. We will keep you all posted. If you cannot attend the service, we will try and live stream it.
