Janet's obituary
Janet Lucille Pfister Williams Kirksey, age 77, of Erie, passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2025. She was born in Erie on July 28, 1947, a daughter of the late, Gilbert Pfister and G. Lucille (Morgan) Pfister.
Janet held many different jobs over the years, including being a certified Notary Public, Mathematics Teacher, girl Scouts leader, Boy Scout assistant leader ran for school board director and won but had to drop out and a Homeless Outreach Aide. She volunteered at many organizations in Erie specifically the Soup Kitchen and the Free Store. Although she didn’t have much money to give, she made sure to give her time and talents to those who were in need. She also enjoyed being a part of the Kairos prison ministry candy striper Hamot hospital. Janet was a member of the American Legion and the Polish Falcons Club, and many more she liked having a good time kids and grand kids and great grand kids and with her bar family.
She was a dedicated Christian woman who attended First United Methodist and later, Sterrettania Alliance Church, where she found a second family. Janet enjoyed belly dancing, eating steaks, and everything iridescent! She loved giving hugs to everyone and she became a mother to so many who needed a loving family. Janet was bold and often said what was on her mind, but most of the time she would say “In God We Trust!”. Most of all, she loved her family and all the time spent with them.
In addition to her parents, Janet is preceded in death by her two sons Joseph Pfister aka (Joseph Graham), David Kirksey and three children father Earl Willams Sr. brothers John, Gilbert and David Pfister, Grandchildren

Janet is survived by children father W.C Kirksey her children, Kimberly Williams (Leroy Kimbro), Nicole Williams, Willie Kirksey (Aimee Cook), and Melissa Kirksey (Dimitrius Vincent), grandchildren, Jarred, Caitlin Graham, (Kim)Joseph Willams the 1st (Carla Prindle) ,Marcus Williams , Kimar Cheatham, Deja Jordan, (Nikki)Tlasia Hughes, Demee Williams, Jaytell Payton, Ameana Payton, (Will) Raymond Mercer, Willie Jr., Noah , Jaedyn , Makayla ,Isaiah , Andrew , Sa’Vion , Elijah Kirksey, (Missy) Ja’Mir Jones aka(Jared Jones), Xy’Kie Kirksey, Sr.(Jazari Cruz Kirksey) , Da’Jaia Jordan , Na’Ray Kirksey, Da’Mya Jordan, and Ya’Ziila Vincent, great grandchildren Ava, Joseph 2nd Willams Avi’on, D’or ,Ja’net Johnson ,Ariell ,Azari Frieson, Kairo Ross , Aylah Houston , Janiyah Prindle , Alayah Crockett , Ka’Oir, Milan Cheatham , Da’Xaiireo Gambill-Jordan, A’Zaria Mercer ,Xy’Kie Kirksey Jr , She is also survived by her siblings, four sisters; Carol (Thomas) Kuzmin, Audrey (Gerald) Munzi, LuAnn (James) Summers, Lisa (John) Campbell, and four brothers; Ronald (Kathleen) Pfister, Thomas (Janice) Pfister, Daniel Pfister, and Jerome (Carolyn) Pfister.
