It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Janet Gentile. She was born in 1952 and departed this life on October 16, 2024. A mother, grandmother, a great-grandmother and friend, Janet's warmth and generosity will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.

Janet's life will be remembered by her children, Mary Jo Casadevall Ali and Ed Casadevall. Her mother (Blanche), 3 brothers, 5 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter, partner-in-life (Doug), extended family members, and many friends mourn her loss.

Her passing has left an incalculable void in the lives of her family and friends, but her legacy lives on in the memories and lessons she imparted.

Janet's family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has reached out during this difficult time. Your love, support, and condolences have been a source of comfort.

While we mourn Janet's passing, we also celebrate her life, cherishing the happy memories we have of her. She may no longer be with us in body, but her spirit continues to guide and inspire us. Rest in peace, dear Janet, you will forever live in our hearts.

A portion of her ashes and a celebration of life will be held at sea at a later date.
