Candy's obituary

Janet "Candy" Dusseau, better known as Candy, passed away on April 9, 2025. Born on November 26, 1962, Candy left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to have known her, with her vibrant personality and generous spirit.

Candy was an alumna of DeVilbiss High School, Toledo, OH, proudly graduating in the class of 1981. She later met the love of her life, Daryl Dusseau, whom she joyfully married in 1993. Their love story, although cut short by Daryl's untimely passing, was filled with joy, laughter, and mutual respect.

An outgoing, kind-hearted, and hardworking woman, Candy was always willing to lend a helping hand. Whether she was washing her beloved Chrysler,  assisting neighbors, spending quality time with her friends at Westbrook, or dog sitting her buddy Barron, Candy filled every moment with warmth, humor, and love. Her life served as a testimony and a lesson on how to be a friend to others.

Candy was predeceased by her father, John Farve; mother, Vera Farve; husband, Daryl Dusseau; and sister, Jennifer Buckley (Farve). She is survived by her loving brother, Jeffrey Farve; her great aunt, Janet Swickard; her uncle, Harold "Butch" Hayman (Katherine Hayman); cherished nieces and nephew, Kimberly Mugan (Buckley) and Johnathan Farve. Candy's memory will live on in their hearts and those of everyone she touched throughout her life.

While her passing has brought deep sorrow, the joy and love that characterized Candy's life will remain a beacon of inspiration for all who knew her. As we remember Candy, let us not only mourn her passing, but also celebrate the life of a truly remarkable woman. Please consider a donation to Seagate Food bank or Toledo Humane Society in her memory.
