It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Janet Dixon, who left this world on August 30th, 2025 surrounded by loved ones after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on March 29, 1963, in Monroe, Janet lived a life centered on love, family, and simple joys.

In her younger years, Janet was known for her passion for softball, where her competitive spirit and love for the game shone brightly. As time went on, her greatest pride and joy became her children. Every decision, every effort, and every moment was devoted to them. Janet’s heart was as big as her smile, and her love knew no limits.

You could always find Janet watching a Little League World Series game, cheering with the same excitement she once brought to the field herself. Those who knew her will remember her unwavering support, her warm presence, and the way she made everyone feel special.

Janet is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Greg. Children Ross (Amy), Jessica (Chris), and Sawyer. Grandchildren Cooper, Adeline, Mason, Austin, Maybel and Cash as well as brand new great granddaughter CeCe. Sister, Rita (Wendy) and Brother, Jeff (Darcy). She is proceeded in death by her Dad, Sherrill; Mother, Carol and Brother, Greg.

A celebration of Janet’s life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gate Pregnancy Resource Center in Harrisburg, NC. 

Though she is no longer here with us, Janet’s love, laughter, and devotion will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
