Janet Clark, 70, passed away on March 16, 2025

Janet was born on October 9, 1954, in Smithfield, Utah to Paul B Meikle and Mary Ruth Rolph Meikle.  They moved from Smithfield to Kearns in the mid 1960s.  Janet graduated from Kearns High School in 1973. 

Janet married David Clark in May of 1979.

Janet worked for a short time for Condies Foods, then went on to working for Deseret Medical, later changed to Beckton Dickenson Medical, where she would put together pharmaceutical products til her retirement at 62. 

Janet was an avid Cher fan, Barbara Mandrell fan, NBA basketball fan, and later in life, a Kellie Pickler fan. Janet made many friends in all communities she was part of.  Many are still treasured to this day.  

Janet is preceded In death by her parents, Paul and Mary, Step dad, Gerald (Jerry) Sibert, grandparents, Zilpha and John Jay Rolph, Aunts, Naomi and Linda, Uncle, Jay, other aunts and uncles on the Meikle side, Son, Byron, Brother in law, Raymond (Butch) Hawthorne, and Nephew, Greg Hawthorne.

Janet is survived by her husband, David, sisters, Marilee and Paula, Daughters, Jennifer and Lisa, niece, Antonia, and 3 grandchildren, Adam, Maddie and Josh.

The family would like to thank everyone who has been in mom's life (neighbors, fan clubs, work friends, family friends, high school friends, Holladay Lions Center, and Midvale Senior Center) for their support and kindness, it's meant a lot to mom all these years, she was loved by many, and she loved them. 

Janet will be cremated, and there will be a casual celebration of life held on Thursday, March 27, 2025 from noon to 2 PM at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 South Sandy, Utah 84092.  As per how she lived and loved, anyone is welcome to come and visit during that time.
