Jane's obituary
We lovingly remember Jane Sutherland, who left us on November 16, 2022. Born in Minneapolis to Dorothy and Arnold Beihoffer on July 7, 1956, the youngest of five sisters – Barb, Beverly, Sue and Patty.
Jane lived an adventurous life, a long-time resident of Minnesota and one time resident of California. She loved to travel, often sharing stories of memorable trips to Hawaii and a cruise with her children to Jamaica. Jane had a knack for interior design, enjoyed poetry, board games, movies and was a big Michael Jackson and Santana fan. She was the best hostess, a talented cook with impeccable table settings. Christmas eve and 4th of July were tied for her favorite nights of the year. She loved her kids infinitely and adored her many nieces and nephews. Jane was over the moon for her grandchildren, every time she saw them it was like she was seeing them on the day they were born, absolutely marveling over them. Part of Jane’s legacy is the reminder to say “I love you” to those you love and to do so often.
We hope Jane has found her peace and is reunited with her beloved daughter, sisters and niece who passed before her – Carissa, Beverly, Sue and Molly, as well as with her mother, father and much adored stepfather, Clarence. And of course, her many pets – most notably her best friend, Pecan.
Jane is much missed and survived by her children, Ryan (Courtney), Zachary and Jillian. Grandchildren Lucy, Alyssa, Henry and George. Sisters Barb (Denny) and Patty and many nieces, nephews, friends and her pup, Honey.
“What is lovely never dies, but passes into other loveliness, stardust, or seafoam, flower or winged air.” - Thomas Bailey Aldrich.
