Jane, a native of Southern California, is survived by her life partner of 37 years, Bill Pound; her son, Richard Reis of Camarillo and his wife, Leanne, children, Zane and Zada Reis. She is preceded in death by her beloved daughter Debbie Reis of Waipahu, Hawaii; and her dear son Vincent Fonzo, Jr. of El Cajon, California.
Jane was born on June 6, 1940, in California to parents James Kennedy Douglas Sr. and Magdalene Bender Douglas. She had a rich career in banking and finance for over 50 years where she had risen to become a Senior Quality Control Underwriter.
Jane was a curious traveler and adventurer at heart, a devoted family woman, and took pride in her career. She raised her three children in Southern California. Together with Bill, their wanderlust took them to places such as Australia, Machu Picchu Peru, Costa Rica, and frequent racing in the Bonneville Salt Flats.
Jane was a social, active woman who enjoyed volunteering with business clubs and later with the Ferrari Owner’s Club where she was president of the San Diego region in 1985. She was very competitive in the Virginia City Hill Climb with her Ferrari. She enjoyed skiing, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren. Her family and friends will always remember her as a servant of God with tremendous humor and who loved life to the beach and back.
In 2018 she and Bill moved to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Where she loved her new home and life. They frequently visited Charleston, SC, and Savannah, GA where she loved the area’s historic charm.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 12 at 11:30 am at the Camarillo Community Center Park, Picnic Area on 1605 Burnley St. in Camarillo, CA with a reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jane’s honor to Center Stage Players and Art Repertory (CSPAR) in Camarillo, a Non-Profit 501 C (3) Theater Group.
