Jane's obituary
With a heavy heart, I announce the passing of my mother, Jane Marie Farrell, lovingly known as “Janie”, on June 20th, 2024 after a valiant second battle with breast cancer.
Janie was born September 29th, 1960 to Francis and Margaret Farrell in Johnson City, NY. She was a 1978 graduate of Johnson City High School where she was dedicated gymnast and received the Johnson City Athletic Hall of Fame Legacy Team Award for Gymnastics. Soon after Janie was to create her two greatest loves, her daughters, Jessica and Colette. She raised them with love and intention, while still furthering her educaiton; securing her Associates Degree in Physical Therapy Assistace from The University of the State of New York in 1994, she went on to study Physical Education and Dance at The College of Brockport State University of New York. She then moved herself and her daughters to Virginia Beach, VA where she continued her education becoming a certified Massage Therapist and certified Yoga Instructor.
Living in Virginia Beach Janie truly found her passion healing and helping others spiritually, emotionally, and physically. And finding her own inner peace through her yoga practice, paddle boarding, gardening, her beloved pets, biking, hiking, enjoying the beach and sailing, and most importantly her love of horses and riding.
