Jane Carolyn Baldwin, beloved mother of Anna Letcher Beck, Karl Letcher, and Amy Letcher Wolf, died peacefully in her sleep on January 3 at 9:04 pm. At her bedside during her final hours were her grandson Andrew Jefferson, daughter Amy Wolf, and her cat Tessa.

Jane was kind,  intelligent and quick-witted, a fit and active hiker and lover of the outdoors, a talented pianist, and a supporter of the arts who dedicated much of her time and energy in service to the Unitarian Fellowship of Santa Fe and the First Unitarian Church of Albuquerque as an accompanist and through volunteer work with the Arts & Aesthetics Committee. She enjoyed yoga well into her 80s and played poker and mah-jongg weekly with her circle of friends.

She will be sorely missed by all those she loved and who loved her, including the nurses at the Rehabilitation Center of Albuquerque, in whose tender care she was for the last four months of her life after a hip fracture.

Rest in peace, dearest Jane.
