Background
My daughter, JanaShae became diabetic at 8 years old. We have always lived in a small rural area of Ms. that has little to none education or how to care for a diabetic child. This left JznaShae not only fighting for her life on a daily basis ,but she fought for simply being treated like a normal child. She had to fight to go to school. Then when she would be in I UNFORTUNATELY several days at a time although she made good grades she had to fight to pass to next grade because of absent days. She was a very small girl full of life and smiles. Very passionate and competitive in all she done. She was under 5 ft .tall and just a little firecracker. She was so very talented. She loved art.She really favored drawing with chalk, but could do all of it from photography to clay . She could paint a lifelike portrait of people, landscapes and a favorite of hers ...old barnes. She expressed herself through her art. She was also a huge animal lover. She finished high school and attended college. She lost her vision and a foot not long before she passed. She started having seizures and this is what took her short life. When she found out she was loosing her vision, she started organizing her paints pencil and art supplies from warm to come colors and practiced with a blindfold because (in her words)"I can't loose my art ,Mama"). An example of her loving and fighting never give up or give in personality. When I found out she was loosing her vision I couldn't help but cry as my heart was broken . One day she caught me crying and said Mama, you act like I'm dying!!Have you ever heard of Helen Keller? I just laughed sobbing. That's my girl. JanaShae made me laugh, made me cry ,made me furious but mostly ...She inspired me to be a better person. She made huge footprints on this old world with what eventually turned out to be 1 tiny foot. She was true to herself and everything she believed in my eyes she was a pioneer. My angel JanaShae Sanders gone but never forgotten .I won't speak of the end or details in honor of her. She would want to focus on the positive. Till I see you again my angel. All my love is with you.
