Jamie's obituary

Jamie D. Stair, age 64, of Shelby, Ohio, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2025, at OhioHealth in Mansfield, Ohio.

Born and raised in Lenexa, Kansas, Jamie was a woman of compassion, generosity, and quiet strength. She earned a degree in Human Services from North Central State College and devoted her life to helping others, always ready to lend a hand or a listening ear.

Jamie is survived by her husband, Jim Stair; her children, Jason McClung, Jeremy McClung, and Jared (Katy) McClung; her stepchildren, Amy Oden, Evielynn Retton, Melissa McCoy, and Julie Carpenter; and her cherished siblings, June (Doug) Ross, Mike (Beth) Maloun, and Julie Maloun. She also leaves behind many beloved grandchildren who brought her endless joy.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Carolyn L. Maloun.

Jamie’s heart was one you would never forget. She had a deep love for sunshine and the outdoors—whether it was swimming in the pool, camping under the stars, or relaxing at the beach. She found true happiness in taking care of others, often giving of herself without hesitation—even down to her last dollar.

A gifted crafter, Jamie had an incredible talent for creating beauty with her hands. Her passion and creativity showed in everything she made, leaving behind lasting tokens of love and care.

Jamie’s presence will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A memorial service will be held on May 30th at Ohio Cremation & Memorial Society in Mansfield, Ohio. Calling hours will be from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by the service at 4:00 PM.
