Jamie Erin Dunlap (Jamie Erin Bourgeois; Jesse Bass), 41, beloved daughter, sister, wife and friend passed unexpectedly at sunrise on January 2nd, 2023 while hiking in Palm Springs, CA. Jamie is survived by her parents Renee and Edward Bourgeois; husband Thomas Dunlap; siblings Jacqueline James-Bourgeois (with Beau, nephews Oliver and Elliott), Joseph Bourgeois, and Caleb Bourgeois (with Maya); and the love of her life- her dog Walter. Jamie was born on September 5th, 1981 in Anchorage, Alaska with a rainbow in the sky. She attended Northern Lights Elementary School, Wendler Middle School, East Anchorage High School, University of San Diego, and University of Alaska Anchorage, where she graduated with a Bachelors in Psychology. She was known for being an enthusiastic student, a visual and performing artist, a generous and caring friend, and a forever vivacious spirit. She had a lifelong love of learning, insatiable curiosity, and unending adventurousness. She was happiest when she was on the trail, leading hikes in Alaska and Arizona, attending music festivals and concerts, discovering new music, playing piano, and dancing. She could light up a room with her smile and will always be remembered for her big heart, love, and light. Her memorial service will take place at the Oak Pioneer Church in Sellwood, Oregon at 3:00pm on January 28th, 2023, and her final resting place will be at the Ivy Lawn Memorial Park in Ventura, CA- next to her grandmother Dorothy Anderson.
