James's obituary

James Henry Wojdylak, Sr passed away on November 26, 2019, at the age of 77. James "Jim" was born in Milford, MA to Henry V "Rick" Wojdylak and Margaret M (Powers) Wojdylak. Jim spent his younger years in Milford, MA before his family moved to Medway, MA. Jim often spoke about his high school days at St Mary's parochial school. He was a great basketball player and joked about how much better he would have been if he wasn't vertically challenged. Jim also played baseball in high school. He bragged about his ability to bunt and his speed rounding the bases. Jim was extremely proud of both his Polish and Irish heritage. That pride was surpassed only by the pride he had of the years he served in the US Air Force where he made life long friendships and enjoyed the camaraderie that he found with fellow veterans throughout his life. Jim was a true American Patriot and loved his country dearly.

James is remembered by his wife of 52 years, Mary F (Harty) Wojdylak. They lived in Goffstown, NH at the time of his death. The couple raised four children together, Catherine (McMorrow) Peters who is married to Mark Peters, Sr; Roberta (McMorrow) O'Connell who is married to David O'Connell; Victoria (Wojdylak) Sullivan who is married to Francis "Buddy" Sullivan, Jr; and James Wojdylak, Jr who is married to Melinda (Brown) Wojdylak.

Jim is also remembered by his Aunt Muriel Powers, his sisters Janice (Wojdylak) O'Connell and Susan (Wojdylak) Cole, six grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, his niece and nephews, and several cousins.

Jim loved spending time with his family. He loved 50's music and was a huge Elvis fan. He also loved his beloved Polish Polkas which were a part of most family parties. Jim loved the old westerns, especially if they were starring John Wayne or Audie Murphy.

Jim was an amazingly strongwilled man who had a mischievous streak (both of which he has passed down). Jim will be truly missed by all those who knew him. We will continue to hold his memory close and love him until we meet again.

"Death leaves a heartache no one can heal; Love leaves a memory no one can steal." ~From An Irish Tombstone
