James was predeceased by his mother, Marjorie Wingfield, and father, Lawrence Wingfield. Left to cherish his memories is his loving and devoted wife, Joe Ann Wingfield. Two daughters, Tajuana Wingfield (Wendell) and Alisha Johnson (Samuel), and Two sons, James E Wingfield Jr (Adeanna) and Christopher Wingfield (Nikki). Eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Rest in peace, dear father, husband, and friend. Your love will continue to shine brightly through all who knew you.
