James's obituary

James Willie Barnes was born on February 12, 1950, in Goodman MS to Willie and Lillie Barnes. He was a hardworking, funny, straight to the principal type of guy. He had a passion for church, taking walks for his cans, and enjoying time with his friends.

James gave his life to Christ at an early age at Bethlehem Baptist Church. He later became a member of Rice Chapel where he attended until the end. He attended DAC and later went to Job Corps to finish his education. He was an unintentional funny guy that spoke his mind and cared greatly for family and friends.

James was proceeded in death by his parents Willie James Barnes and Lillie Brown-Barnes; his wife Mary Ann Barnes; his granddaughter JaNiya Crayton; and his sisters and brothers Emma Latiker, Helenteen Stevenson, Mae Ida Barnes, W.D. Barnes, and William Barnes. James loving memories will be shared by his daughters Jamie Marie Barnes and Cassandra Barnes; his grandkids NaJyra Barnes, JoTavius Taylor, Wynter Barnes, and Jermani Barnes; his great grand daughter Nova Marie James; his siblings Rosie Sanders, Catherine Reynolds (Keith Reynolds), Allen Barnes, Lillie Barnes, Elizabeth Barnes, and Fannie Barnes; his step children Darnell Granderson, Opal Simpson, and Cierra Stingley; a special friend Betty Tucker and a host neices, nephews, cousins, and friends who certainly will miss and never forget him.
