Hard to believe it's been a year. So many days I've spent missing James...just broken inside...I cared so much for him...not too many people come into your life that touch your heart like James... he was so sweet, kind, and so HUMBLE!! I miss him like crazy...his death sure took a toll on me and others who loved him...I don't think I'll ever  be quite the same. It's left an empty feeling inside of me..I hope his daughter Samantha will always know how much her daddy loved her...he talked about her and his mother often...and often the tears just poured out of him! I could feel his pain..Rest in Peace James! I carry you in my heart and will forever!!

Lelia Jordan

My heart breaks for such a beautiful life cut so short, leaving devastating sorrow in it's wake. We will arise, wounded, but stronger.

I had previously witnessed some of James’ mental issues on display.  Then I got to know the man a little bit.  He had such a genuine, kind, and even giving soul.  Being homeless he never asked for anything, and when something was given to him he would always share it with other homeless people.  I watched him try to help an injured bird, and an injured butterfly.  I saw the affection he showed to the feral cat that he tamed, Stockton.  May James rest in peace.

My condolences to James's family. I first met James at the back door ministry of a local church. Of course, i thought, " he reminds me of Jesus".  And from then until forever, he was etched in my heart and mind as he journeyed through our neighborhoods and adjoining cities making each and every one of us better with his lighthearted gifts of joy and laughter through turmoil.  I will never forget him - he will always be in my heart- and as I encounter other individuals in similar circumstances, James will be with me. I thank God for him and for his beautiful family- We are one in Christ-blessings ALL.

To the family and extended family of Jimmy, please accept my sincere condolences on his loss. I am so saddened by this news. But know that Jimmy is now at peace with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
