James's obituary

James "Jimmy" Wilk, a man remembered by loved ones for his sharp wit and dry humor, departed from this life on December 17, 2025. Born on August 8, 1950, Jimmy was a proud Veteran of the United States Army who served his country in Vietnam. 

An early computer engineer, Jimmy was notable for his work programming Chicago's very first CT Scan machines located at Mount Sinai Hospital in the 1970s. Jimmy's technical prowess also served him in his later career as a tradesman , craftsman , where he was always eager to learn how things worked and dedicated himself to solving problems big and small. traveled the world , sailed across the gulf ,always kept his word  

James "Jimmy" Wilk led a life that left a profound impact on those he encountered. His wit, accomplishments and dedication to service shaped an extraordinary life that will never be forgotten. He will rest forever among his brothers in arms at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.
