James Vidlak, 76, of Oakley, CA, passed away on September 09, 2022 after suffering a massive heart attack.

James was born on September 19 to Harland and Marion Vidlak I’m Chicago Illinois. After graduating he joined the Marine and retrained 30 years later. In 1968 he met Kathryn , and they wed in 1969, going on to have 3 children, Jim, Timothy and Helen .


James was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to his than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned.  James was also a passionate about Wargaming and could often be found at Games workshop when he wasn’t at home.


Anyone who knew James knew that he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for. James is survived by his Wife and 3 children and 8 grandchildren. Services will be held  at Hoffmans funeral home on 13th of September at 1pm. In Brentwood.
